Dyna Might is a Lalaloopsy character who first appeared in the Nick Jr. series episode Dyna-mic Duo. She is an intrepid yet overconfident superhero who, with the aid of her gadgets and her sidekick Raccoon, sets out to save the day and help out her friends. Other times, she focuses on solving her own problems.

Personality[]

On the whole, Dyna Might is a speedy, brave, and optimistic young girl who likes to act as if she were a real superhero, and she takes this role very seriously. She speaks with a sense of enthusiasm and grandeur, typical of heroes from the Golden and Silver ages of comic books. Dyna also tends to spout off her own catchphrases, monologue in a dramatic raspy voice highly evocative of Batman, and strike heroic poses. Dyna Might always comes to her friends' rescue, even when the problem is relatively minor.

While hinted to not truly possess super powers, Dyna Might frequently mentions her many alleged abilities, such as her "super" senses, hearing, sight, speed, strength, brains, persistence, and flight. Instead of using any actual superhuman abilities, she uses her many tools and gadgetry to perform her heroic deeds. There are times where she is unreasonably confident, being certain she will be able to solve a problem or perform a rescue even when it is clearly not the case. Dyna Might occasionally boasts of her supposed prowess as a superhero, though she never intends to be mean-spirited, and she still willingly praises and encourages her pals.

Oftentimes, Dyna Might is so engrossed in her role as a superhero and whatever issue is at hand that she becomes oblivious to her surroundings. A running gag is that when Dyna Might goes looking for something, she does not realize that she already has it. When she was searching for a sidekick, she did not notice that Raccoon had been her sidekick all along until after he had saved her. Additionally, Dyna Might did not figure out that her super sound maker was under her trampoline the whole time until Raccoon had to point it out to her.

Though she genuinely tries her best to be an amazing superhero and save the day, Dyna Might can be incompetent at times. She is also quite clumsy, often tripping, falling, or bumping into things. Dyna Might's slip-ups do not affect her for long, and she always stands back up to resume her heroic act. Dyna dislikes being outshined, and she tends to refuse help, at least at first. Additionally, Dyna Might is competitive when it comes to saving people, sometimes even prioritizing arguing with her competition. However, when she is willing to work together with others, whether it be Raccoon or Ember, she becomes a much more efficient hero.

Dyna Might seems to have some sort of emotional attachment to her super goggles. She almost always wears them, even though their only stated purpose besides eye protection is to grant her "super powers". She also panicked when her super goggles went missing one time, and she was extremely reluctant to take them off and give them to Ace when he asked her to.

Up Up and Away[]

After a good night's sleep, Dyna Might jumps out of bed and is ready to start the day. She prepares to don her super goggles, only to find out that they're missing. She panics, claiming that without the goggles, she is powerless. Dyna Might frantically looks all over her room for the pair, but she has no luck finding them there. Raccoon brings it to Dyna's attention that there is a green feather on the windowsill where she normally leaves her goggles. Dyna concludes that a bird might have taken her goggles. Just then, she sees Dot Starlight flying her plane, with Bird tagging along. Dyna Might jumps on a small trampoline and "flies" out her window, only to fall and land on a pillow placed by Raccoon.

Dyna Might and Raccoon try to follow Dot's airplane, but they're getting away. Needing a speed boost, Dyna borrows Pickles B.L.T.'s roller skates and catches up to Dot. She tells Dot that she is on a mission to find her super goggles, and that she believes a bird might have taken the pair. Dyna Might holds the green feather up to Bird and finds out it doesn't match. Dot offers to let Dyna Might use her telescope and takes her to her observatory.

While Dyna Might looks through the telescope, Raccoon spots Patch's parrot flying to the shore, the super goggles in his talons. Dyna Might and Raccoon leave to follow Parrot to the beach. After a while, they lose sight of him, and Dyna starts to worry that she will never see her super goggles ever again. Fortunately, she sees her goggles on Patch Treasurechest's new mobile and skates up to it. Dyna tells Patch that her super goggles are on his mobile, and Patch returns the pair to her. Dyna Might explains how she managed to find her goggles as she puts them back on her face. She states that it was worth going through all that trouble since it meant getting her goggles back, and thus in her eyes, her super powers back as well.

Nick Jr. Series (Season 1)[]

Dyna-mic Duo[]

Dyna Might and Raccoon are walking along Lalaloopsy Land when Dyna suggests going for lunch at Pickles' diner. Just as she is about to go, she hears Spot Splatter Splash's cry for help. Dyna Might speeds off to the diner and comes to the rescue. Spot tells Dyna that she can’t get her pickle sauce out of the bottle and onto her pickle burger.

Dyna Might decides to try and squeeze out the bottle's contents herself. She clearly struggles doing so, but after a while, Dyna Might finally squeezes out the pickle sauce. Spot thanks Dyna for her help, as well as her "trusty sidekick". Dyna Might states that she doesn't think she has one, but when Spot says that she thought all superheroes have sidekicks, Dyna switches gears and claims that she actually does have a sidekick. Dyna Might slowly realizes that she does not really know what a sidekick even is, so she runs off to visit Bea Spells-a-Lot in her library.

Dyna Might sees Bea get out the Superhero Sidekick Guide Book. She listens to Bea listing off the five special traits of a sidekick, completely unaware that her pet Raccoon happens to follow four out of five of said characteristics perfectly. Bea suggests to Dyna that she should find a sidekick by holding auditions; Dyna Might perks up and acts as if the idea was her own.

Peanut, Rosy, Ace, Jewel's Cat, and many others all audition for the role of Dyna Might's sidekick. Ace in particular demonstrates the Really Rugged Rewindable Rope, a gizmo which shoots out a rope that can wrap around anything. Though the gadget backfires on Ace, Dyna Might tells him that while he would make a good sidekick, he would be an even better superhero gadget maker for her.

Dyna Might lines up her final candidates – Spot, Ember, and Peanut – for her audition. First is Spot, who must stop a catapult from launching a cream pie at a tied-up Raccoon. Spot gets distracted, so Dyna Might decides to save Raccoon herself. She heroically rushes to the scene, only for her to clumsily slip and fall on a mud puddle. Raccoon unties himself and stalls the catapult just long enough for Dyna Might to make herself look heroic.

Next is Ember, who must rescue Raccoon from a tree. Dyna Might offers the Really Rugged Rewindable Rope to Ember for her to use. The gadget doesn't work properly, so Ace takes it away for repairs. Dyna Might declares that such a rescue must be done by a "trained superhero". Dyna tries and fails to climb up the tree before spotting a trampoline Raccoon left down for her. Dyna Might jumps on it but ends up falling into a water puddle. Ember charges forth with her ladder to rescue Raccoon, then offers to help Dyna get back up. Dyna Might refuses at first, but she decides to take her hand after all.

Third is Peanut, who must save a baby – played by Raccoon – in a runaway carriage. Dyna Might witnesses Peanut and Raccoon get into actual trouble on the baby carriage, and she proclaims she will save them herself. Dyna attempts to activate the Really Rugged Rewindable Rope, but it fails once again and gets taken away by Ace. Dyna Might jumps into action and recklessly sprints towards the carriage, only for it to crash into her.

She, Raccoon, and Peanut eventually fall off the carriage. Peanut leaves, and Dyna Might realizes no one's left. Dyna Might turns downhearted, under the impression that she can't be a real superhero without a sidekick. She reluctantly takes the Really Rugged Rewindable Rope from Ace and goes home, arriving to hide under her "Superhero’s Cave of Aloneness" – her table. After a while, Dyna Might presses the button on the Really Rugged Rewindable Rope just to demonstrate how un-super it is. Much to her surprise, the gizmo actually works for once, and it entangles her in a web of rope!

Raccoon and Cat come to rescue Dyna Might. Raccoon chews on the rope to break it apart. Dyna notices the Really Rugged Rewindable Rope just out of arms' reach, and with the help of Raccoon and Cat, presses the gadget and frees herself. Dyna Might finally realizes that Raccoon has always been there for her, so she asks Bea if Raccoon can qualify as a sidekick. Despite Bea stating that Raccoon fails the last sidekick rule, Dyna Might decides to declare Raccoon as her sidekick anyway. Under Raccoon's suggestion, Dyna Might allows Cat to be Raccoon's sidekick. Dyna Might, Raccoon, and Cat bolt out the door and heroically dash off into the sunset.

Nick Jr. Series (Season 2)[]

Wishful Thinking[]

Dyna Might hides behind a tree in the woods. She claims it as the perfect spot for her "superhero practice" before getting out a trampoline and jumping on it. Her practice is cut short by a tree branch that is in the way of her jumping, and she has to awkwardly climb up on the branch. Dyna Might watches as Candle Slice O' Cake arrives to give her a present. Dyna opens it to reveal the super sound maker, a toy that makes dramatic sound effects. Later, Dyna Might practices bursting through doors by kicking open her front door and jumping out. She ends up falling on the ground. Dyna stands back up and realizes her super sound maker is missing, distraught, Dyna Might decides to make her way over to her super gadget maker, Ace, to see if he has an invention that could give her super vision.

Dyna Might leaps into Ace's garage, accidentally startling the mechanic in the process. Dyna tells Ace that she lost something and that he must build her a device that will give her super vision. Ace later shows Dyna Might a kaleidoscope, then asks her to give him her superhero goggles. Dyna Might is shocked and vehemently refuses to take them off, even trying to cover up her goggles. When Ace states that this is the only way to find the super sound maker, Dyna Might hesitantly pulls her goggles off her face and gives them to Ace. She tries on Ace's new invention, a kaleidoscope attached to the left lens of her original goggles. The modified goggles severely distort her vision, and she can barely find her way outside Ace's garage.

Next, Ace gives Dyna Might a different pair of goggles, which are made from magnifying lenses equipped with "Magnifi-Sight". Dyna puts them on and runs off. She is excited by the augmented vision given off by her new goggles, only to panic and mistake Raccoon for a giant chasing her down. Dyna Might eventually arrives at Ace's garage and shuts the door behind her, locking Raccoon outside. Ace takes off Dyna's magnifying glass goggles; Dyna is relieved and admits the goggles were too much for her.

Dyna dons her third new pair of goggles made with an x-ray machine from Rosy with which she can see through anything, even through walls to see Ace inside the garage. Dyna Might is sure she'll be able to find her super sound maker in no time! She speeds off and eventually arrives outside Bea's library, still not having found her super sound maker. With her X-ray goggles, Dyna sees Bea through the walls of her house, holding three stacks of books all at once. Dyna Might attempts to rush to Bea's rescue, unaware there is a wall between her and Bea. She keeps bumping into the wall until she removes her X-ray goggles and realizes her blunder.

Dyna Might returns to Ace's garage. Just as she is about to give up her search for the sound maker, Ace offers her a pair of "everywhere goggles". Later, Dyna walks through a forest, noticing how the goggles allow her to see in any direction – specifically any direction except right in front of her. Due to her warped vision, Dyna Might struggles to navigate the forest and clumsily bumps into objects along the way. After a long while, Dyna still hasn't found her super sound maker, and she doesn't know what to try next. Raccoon chitters, telling her that she can look for the sound maker in the last place she saw it. As Dyna attempts to remember where she lost her super sound maker, Raccoon finds it under a trampoline near a tree and throws it in her way. Dyna Might is ecstatic. She at first praises herself for her so-called "super brains" and "super persistence", but then thanks Raccoon for his help and kisses him on the cheek. Later on, Dyna Might, having put her original goggles back on offscreen, goes to Dot's observatory to witness tonight's star cloud. She and Ace use the everywhere goggles and anythingmajig to modify the telescope so everyone in the group can see the star cloud at the same time.

Out On a Limb[]

Dyna Might is inside her headquarters, scouting for trouble using her "dynamic dynascope" periscope. As she monologues in a dramatic husky voice, she spots Mittens, Peanut, and Forest stuck on top of the tallest tree. It's time for her to save the day! Dyna Might goes down a secret chute and falls out her front door. She buckles a utility belt onto her normal belt, then rushes to her friends' rescue. Dyna arrives at the tallest tree in Lalaloopsy Land, and she is surprised to find that Ember also plans to save the three citizens. Because of her "super manners", she chooses to let Ember go first. After Ember's ladder attempt fails, Dyna Might considers unleashing a secret, powerful gadget that she calls Gizmo X, only to instead attach a pair of Super Springy Shoes to her boots and jump into the air. Despite her jumping getting far out of control, Dyna Might tries to act like nothing is wrong. Raccoon lassoes Dyna Might to the ground. Dyna and Ember start to argue on who should rescue their tree-trapped friends.

Dyna Might sees Ember's trampoline attempt fail, and she once again contemplates using Gizmo X, but she tells herself that Lalaloopsy Land is woefully unprepared for Gizmo X's great power. She pulls out the Dynagrip Grappling Launcher and the Really Rugged Rewindable Rope, then she climbs up a nearby tree and creates a tightrope using her gadgets. While Dyna Might tries to encourage Forest to walk the tightrope, the rope becomes unstable and loses its grip on the tree. Dyna Might falls into a bush as a result.

After Ember's firehose attempt fails, Dyna Might yet again monologues about Gizmo X. This time, she decides to finally reveal Gizmo X. The gadget is only an odd vacuum cleaner, and Ember is clearly confused and concerned, but Dyna Might is enthusiastic about the power of Gizmo X and is sure it'll save the day. Dyna Might aims the activated Gizmo X towards her friends, oblivious to how unhelpful and dangerous it really is. Ember tells Dyna to turn Gizmo X off because it is too powerful, but because of the noise, Dyna thinks she said to use more power and flips a switch. It starts sucking everything in sight, then it bursts apart.

Once she and Ember witness Mittens and Peanut lifting up Forest from an unstable tree branch, the girls agree to work together. Dyna Might and Ember consider pulling the top of the tree down, but it is too heavy. Just then, Spot walks by with her new work of art, a super cranking contraption. Dyna and Ember decide to tie the firehose and the Really Rugged Rewindable Rope to the wheel of Spot's art piece, turn the crank, and bend down the tree. The two heroes turn the crank until the branch holding Mittens, Peanut, and Forest is near the ground. The friends are now safe. At first, Dyna Might attempts to take credit for the entire rescue, but after noticing Ember's indignation, she eagerly congratulates Ember, Raccoon, and Dalmatian as well. Together, Dyna and Ember prepare to return to the tree to its normal position, but they instead get launched to the top of the tree. The two girls begin to bicker over who should rescue the other first.

No Laughing Matter[]

Dyna Might soars throughout Lalaloopsy Land, or so it seems. In actuality, she is just running around with her arms spread out. Dyna spots a present by a rock on the ground and picks it up. Raccoon snatches it from her, believing it's a trick, and throws it at a nearby bush. Dyna Might looks on as her "arch nemesis", Peanut Big Top, emerges from the bush. She tells Peanut that she is too "super clever" to ever be tricked and dramatically exits.

Later, Dyna Might jumps up and down on her trampoline, once again pretending to fly. She lands when she sees Peanut walk up to her. Dyna suspects Peanut will once again prank her when the ringmistress offers her lemonade and suggests she should drink it on a log under an oddly specific tree. Dyna Might chooses to sit on a different log under a different tree, unaware that Peanut has just used reverse psychology on her. Dyna blissfully drinks and finishes her lemonade as Raccoon makes Peanut's second prank backfire on her. Dyna Might returns to boast that she has once again triumphed over Peanut's practical jokes.

Dyna Might rushes out her house when she hears Peanut yelling in a megaphone about a Little in distress. Despite sensing it might be a prank, Dyna Might follows Peanut to the scene of the rescue, only to instead see Little Mouse stuck on a tree. Dyna Might jumps into action! She launches the Really Rugged Rewindable Rope and grips onto the tree branch where Little Mouse is. Raccoon climbs up the rope, picks up Little Mouse, and leaves her in Dyna Might's hand. Dyna lectures Peanut on the appropriate times to be silly, then leaves with Little Mouse in tow. She goes to Crumbs' house to return Little Mouse to Sprinkle, who hugs her as gratitude. Just as Dyna Might is about to perform her heroic exit, Sprinkle clings onto her leg, so Dyna leaves her clinging onto a tree instead and speeds off.

Much later on, Dyna Might is bouncing on her trampoline again when Blossom drives up to her and asks her if she has seen Peanut. Dyna Might enters the clown car with Blossom, and they drive to Peanut's circus, where Dyna picks up a pair of Peanut’s clown shoes. They then drive through the snowy hills, the desert, and finally arrive at the forest where Peanut is hiding. Dyna reminds Peanut that now is the right time for silliness, which helps Peanut realize that her true purpose is to spread joy and laughter. After Peanut manages to cheer up Sprinkle, Dyna Might suddenly appears next to her, seemingly threatening her. It turns out that Dyna only wants to return Peanut's clown shoes to her. Peanut gives Dyna Might a squirt flower as a prank. Dyna finds it humorous and laughs along with Peanut.
